Job summary

Carbon60 are recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for a UK offshore wind programme. This remote-first role involves front-end electrical design on a major transmission project, with occasional travel to a Central Scotland office.

You will prepare and manage substation and balance-of-plant contracts, write technical specs for equipment up to 400 kV, and review external designs to meet client requirements. The 6-month contract is Inside IR35 via Umbrella, with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Experience with offshore wind electrical design and substations up to 400kV.
• Ability to develop and manage electrical contract docs and works information.
• Experience writing technical specifications for substation equipment.
• Knowledge of engineering legislation and industry best practices for substations and primary plant.

Responsibilities

• Deliver front-end electrical engineering design work.
• Develop electrical contract documentation and manage substation/BoP works information.
• Write, review and update specifications for substation equipment up to 400kV.
• Review external contractors' design documentation to ensure client requirements are met.
• Attend Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Tests of major substation components.
