Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of electrical systems for nuclear infrastructure projects in the UK. You will work within multidisciplinary teams on existing and new-build facilities, ensuring safe operation, reliability and compliance with UK standards.
The role focuses on electrical infrastructure engineering rather than reactor physics, offering challenging projects across regulatory environments and opportunities to mentor junior
Formación
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership (preferred).
- Typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of UK standards, regulations and best practices.
Responsabilidades
- Lead or support electrical design packages for nuclear infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review single-line/three-line diagrams, protection schemes and motor control diagrams.
- Prepare specifications, scope documents and bills of materials for procurement and construction.
- Undertake site surveys and assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
