Job summary

Proactive Global seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its security inspection technology division. You will provide technical leadership across product development projects, guiding concepts through production and ongoing support.

You will collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Manufacturing to ensure projects meet technical, budget and delivery targets, support NPI programs, and drive lifecycle excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (BEng/BSc) or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' engineering experience in a technical environment.
• Experience overseeing technical activities, including design reviews and governance.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale or complex engineering projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to decisions.
• Good communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities across product lines.
• Support planning and delivery of New Product Introduction programmes.
• Contribute to technical requirements, product specifications and engineering reviews.
• Review and approve technical documentation and testing procedures.
• Work with R&D to evaluate new technologies and future product development.
• Collaborate with Product Management to establish product requirements and delivery plans.
• Support transition of products from design into production with Manufacturing.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support configuration management, including BoMs and documentation.
• Provide input for bids, proposals and business development activities.
• Ensure engineering solutions meet customer requirements and contractual commitments.
• Communicate technical information effectively to technical teams and stakeholders.
