Job summary

BMR Solutions Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - NPI to join its multidisciplinary team in Clevedon. You will design electrical modules for new products, drive NPI activities, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering with NPI experience, DFM/DFA knowledge, and CAD proficiency (CATIA/AutoCAD/Visio).

Qualifications

• Experience in product development and NPI environments.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to play a key role in bringing innovative products to market? Our client, a global leader in advanced engineering technology, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - NPI to join their multidisciplinary engineering team in Clevedon.

The Role

Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical modules and sub-assemblies for new products, supporting projects from concept through to product introduction. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical, quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical modules and sub-assemblies for new products
• Verify designs through calculations, testing, and validation activities
• Ensure designs meet performance, quality, cost, and timescale requirements
• Produce and maintain technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, models, and test data
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product commercialisation activities
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Experience in product development and NPI environments
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing processes
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD software such as CATIA, AutoCAD, Visio, or similar
• Familiarity with P&IDs and system schematics
• Results-driven with the ability to deliver against project milestones
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
