Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for its Nottingham building services team. The role focuses on electrical design from concept through detailed design and delivery, collaborating with clients, contractors and design teams in a hybrid working setup.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years’ experience in building services electrical design, with knowledge of BS 7671 and building regulations, and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

2–3 years of electrical building services design experience.
HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
Sound understanding of Building Regulations and BS 7671 (18th Edition).
Experience producing electrical drawings, calculations and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Assist with electrical building services design from concept to detailed design for tender and delivery.
Produce electrical drawings, specifications, calculations and technical reports.
Undertake site surveys, inspections and assessments of existing installations.
Support lighting, small power, distribution, emergency lighting and fire alarm design.
Coordinate design information using industry-standard software and liaise with clients and contractors.
