Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our UK team, delivering complex electrical designs across major infrastructure, energy and industrial projects. You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Significant post-graduate engineering experience, typically 8+ years.
• Experience delivering complex electrical engineering projects.
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
• The ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring or project guidance.
• A commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development and delivery of complex electrical engineering designs and solutions.
• Acting as a trusted technical specialist and providing guidance to project teams.
• Supporting multidisciplinary project delivery from concept through to execution.
• Reviewing engineering deliverables and ensuring technical excellence, quality and compliance.
• Developing engineering standards, procedures and best practices.
• Managing technical scope, quality, budgets and schedules for assigned workstreams.
• Collaborating closely with clients, project managers and engineering teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Supporting business development and helping identify future opportunities with existing and new clients.
• Mentoring and developing engineers across the team, helping build future technical capability.
• Contributing to solutions that address complex infrastructure and energy challenges globally.
