AtkinsRéalis in Leatherhead is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Highways) to assist in ITS/Technology design for CCTV, signals, and VMS assets on the M25. You will work under guidance, producing drawings and reports while supporting design reviews and optioneering activities to ensure compliant, safe, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualification and aim for professional registration (IET, etc.).
• Basic understanding of ITS/Technology systems and design principles.
• Awareness of engineering standards and ability to learn DMRB/MCHW guidance.
• Proficient IT and MS Office skills; willingness to learn within a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; collaborative mindset.
• Experience from placements or projects related to transport systems is a plus.
• Hold a UK driving licence and CSCS card is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparing ITS/Technology designs for CCTV, signals, VMS, under supervision.
• Contribute to drawings, documents, and technical reports for reviews.
• Support design reviews to ensure completeness and compliance with standards.
• Participate in optioneering, data gathering, and basic assessments.
• Help compile briefs and technical inputs for design suppliers.
• Monitor progress against programme and budget; report to seniors.
• Assist in site visits, surveys, and inspections to support design.
• Support CDM duties and contribute to sustainability objectives.
