Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting for a Technology Design Engineer (ITS) (Highways) to work on the M25. You will support delivery of ITS/Technology design activities, assisting with development and coordination of design solutions for roadside assets.

Under supervision, you'll help prepare ITS/Technology designs for CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT and MIDAS, contribute to drawings, documents and reports, and support design reviews to ensure standards compliance. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualification in electrical, electronics or telecoms.
• Interest in professional registration (IET or similar).
• Basic understanding of ITS/Technology systems.
• Awareness of engineering standards (DMRB, MCHW) and design guidance.
• Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ITS/Technology designs for CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT and MIDAS under supervision.
• Contribute to drawings, documents and technical reports.
• Support design reviews to ensure completeness and standards compliance.
• Participate in optioneering, data gathering and basic assessment work.
• Help compile design briefs, technical inputs and documentation for suppliers.
