Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for our London office, focusing on Data Centre projects within the Mission Critical Facilities team.

You will design electrical systems from EHV to LV, lead technically challenging deliverables and engage directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to conceptual designs, reports and specifications, while coordinating with architects and structural engineers and mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Chartered status with CIBSE or IET (or working towards).
• Knowledge of UK & EU electrical design regulations and guides.
• IT literacy with Trimble and related software.
• Experience with ETAP HV modelling and harmonic studies.
• Understanding of Neher–McGrath cable temperature calculations.
• Familiar with Uptime Institute/TIA942/EN50600 Tier classifications.
• Able to lead a project team and mentor others.
• Experience with RevitMEP and AutoCAD for design direction.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual electrical distribution designs from EHV to Low Voltage.
• Advise clients on electrical system options to meet business needs.
• Lead the design of data centre electrical systems and equipment.
• Produce design development notes and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with Architects and Structural engineers across disciplines.
• Prepare calculations and tender documentation/specifications.
• Monitor installed equipment to ensure compliance with requirements and safety codes.
• Engage with clients in a technical, consultative role.
• Work independently and as part of a global WSP project team.
