Job summary

Ashbys Consulting in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their highly regarded team on healthcare, high‑end residential, retail and hotel projects from inception to completion.

You will survey, design, coordinate, report and inspect electrical services in buildings, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with principal and associate engineers, contributing to technical reviews and ensuring standards compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 5/6 years experience within a building services consultancy environment.
• Proficient in Amtech, Dialux and CAD (ideally Revit)
• Passion for creating sustainable and aesthetically pleasing buildings
• Good commercial awareness
• Ability to tutor Junior Engineers

Responsibilities

• Survey and design electrical services for buildings.
• Coordinate and inspect installation across projects.
• Prepare reports and assist project teams with technical reviews.

This consultancy has provided their services on a number of well publicised projects and therefore have a fantastic name within the industry for employing first class engineers and growth for the last 4 years has been very impressive. This is a good opportunity to work alongside Principal and Associate electrical engineers working on projects within the Healthcare, high end residential, Retail and hotel sector. Working projects from inception to completion you will survey, design, coordinate, report and inspect the installation of electrical services in buildings.

Candidates should have the below experience:
