Job summary

KLA's SPTS division in Newport is hiring an electronics engineer to join the Platform Hardware Group. You will contribute to control and safety equipment for wafer handling systems, focusing on electrical/electronic design, embedded controllers and PCB work.

The role is office-based in Newport with some international travel and flexible start times; one day per week for work-from-home may be possible as business needs allow.

Qualifications

Minimum Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
Proven experience in electrical/electronic design
Good understanding of electrical regulations
Design of safety circuits would be advantageous
AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Electrical / electronic control and interface design
Electrical assembly design
Analogue and digital circuit design
Embedded controller design
PCB designing
Designing critical safety circuits
Technical report writing
Producing engineering drawings, build and test guides.
MS Windows imaging of embedded controllers
