Job summary

J Dunton Associates Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical building services design on data centre projects. You will guide the design team, liaise with clients and other engineers, and help shape strategic business direction.

The role requires extensive post-graduate experience in M&E and strong leadership, with opportunities for career progression and involvement in business development. Flexible working from home or office is available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent).
• Experience on Mission-Critical or similar projects.
• Experience with ICT & Network infrastructure design.
• Proven experience in leading teams of M&E engineers.
• Experience dealing with utility power supply & DNOs.
• Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850 protocol desirable.
• MV/HV experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the high-level design reviews and set work schedules.
• Liaise with clients and engineers to ensure specifications are met.
• Build relationships with clients, vendors and professionals.
• Maintain and improve existing engineering processes.
• Support business development and attend conferences/events.
• Mentor and supervise the engineering team on projects.
• Contribute to document control and project reporting.
• Collaborate with senior management to grow the business.
