Job summary

Penguin Recruitment represents a market‑leading MEP consultancy seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across lighting, power, LV distribution, containment, fire detection and emergency systems for high‑rise residential and commercial projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, interface with architects and contractors, and ensure delivery within deadlines, budgets and quality standards while advancing low‑carbon design and Part L compliance in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in a building services consultancy.
• Extensive high-rise residential and commercial project experience.
• Familiar with Building Safety Regulator for higher-risk projects.
• Proficient with electrical calculation software (Amtech preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design across lighting, power, LV distribution, containment, fire, and emergency systems.
• Oversee submissions to the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) and design gateway processes for higher‑risk projects.
• Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers.
• Deliver projects spanning high-rise residential and commercial developments.
