Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Hampshire to contribute to the design and development of advanced electrical solutions for specialist, design-to-order projects in harsh environments.

You will work with peers and senior engineers to apply electrical design principles, design-for-manufacture, and regulatory compliance, while supporting production-level engineering for bespoke systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and design-for-manufacture.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks including UKCA/CE marking.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define design requirements and technical specifications for complex electrical assemblies and enclosures.
• Create schematic designs, circuit diagrams, cabling layouts, and interconnect solutions using electrical CAD tools.
• Develop verification activities including prototype builds, testing, and compliance checks.
• Debug and validate electrical systems and support fault-finding through the design lifecycle.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation including BOMs, drawings, specs, and compliance records (UKCA/CE).
• Support production and wider engineering teams with electrical queries and SME input.
