Job summary

Redline Group Ltd in Southampton seeks an experienced Contract Electronics Design Engineer for an initial 3-6 month opportunity to join a life-cycle design programme.

You will contribute to end-to-end design, development and validation of a sophisticated system, with hands-on work spanning analogue, digital, and firmware tasks as part of a disruptive electronics marketplace project.

Qualifications

• Experience with low voltage analogue signal design.
• Experience in digital microprocessor design and exposure to Altera FPGAs.
• Firmware development in C.
• Altium designer experience.

Job description

Redline Group are working with an innovative business developing a next-generation industrial product for use within advanced manufacturing environments at their offices in Southampton.As part of the life-cycle design process, they are looking to secure the services of an experienced Contract Electronics Design Engineer on an initial 3-6 Month opportunity.

As our client is considered exempt for IR35 purposes, you will be responsible for assessing IR35 status, should you wish to operate via your own PSC.

As part of a new product introduction programme, you will focus on the design, development and validation of a sophisticated system designed to be disruptive in the electronics marketplace.The role would suit a professional who is used to being involved in start-to-end design and is comfortable with being hands-on throughout.

Key Skills Required - Contract Electronics Design Engineer, Southampton:

• Experience with low voltage, analogue signal design
• Experience of digital microprocessor design and an exposure to Altera FPGAs
• Firmware development in C
• Altium designer experience

Desirable Skills Include:

• Experience of the machinery directive
• Cable wiring/harness design
