Job summary

RED Engineering Design is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead medium-sized projects across London, Bicester, or Newcastle. You will coordinate electrical design packages, work with clients and contractors, and ensure solutions meet robust industry standards.

You will mentor trainees and graduates while delivering high-quality designs and liaising with stakeholders to support successful project delivery. The role supports hybrid working in the UK.

Qualifications

• BEng or MSc in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Professional membership or progression towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience in building services electrical design and coordination.
• Ability to manage client-facing design development and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-sized projects from development through design coordination.
• Produce design packages for electrical installations and systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients and project stakeholders.
• Ensure designs meet relevant standards and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to trainees and junior engineers.

Education

BEng/MSc Electrical Engineering

MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND

Chartered Eng status (in progress)

Building services design knowledge
