Morgan Hunt is seeking a Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join a growing M&E consultancy, with the role based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

You will lead electrical building services design across projects, producing designs, calculations and technical documentation, while mentoring junior engineers and developing strong client relationships. The position spans defence, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.

Formación

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong experience in electrical building services design within an M&E consultancy or similar environment.
• Experience across defence, healthcare, education or commercial sectors is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of relevant British Standards, regulations and industry best practice.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients and project stakeholders.
• Ability to lead projects and support the development of more junior engineers.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ambition to progress.

Responsabilidades

• Leading and delivering electrical building services design across a range of projects.
• Producing and reviewing electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Working across projects from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Undertaking surveys and condition assessments.
• Supporting the delivery of wider M&E design services.
• Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
• Helping to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Taking an active role in the continued development and growth of the electrical team.

Role

Working across a diverse range of sectors, you'll be involved in delivering high-quality electrical building services solutions from concept through to completion. Projects span defence, healthcare, education, commercial and other technically demanding sectors, providing plenty of variety and the opportunity to work on challenging and interesting schemes.
