Location: Leeds

Our client, part of a group established nearly 200 years ago with over 5,500 staff worldwide, specializes in bespoke heavier engineering and materials handling activities. Due to ongoing growth, they seek an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their Leeds office and support their electrical engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and specifications for control systems across various products
• Coordinate site, application, and design engineering resources to meet project requirements
• Ensure effective interfacing between design, production, procurement, and installation teams to optimize costs and implementation
• Develop understanding of applicable industry standards
• Manage project technical content concerning cost, quality, documentation, and engineering content within budget
• Attend customer sites and liaise with engineering representatives as needed

Candidate Requirements

Qualified to degree level or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), with at least 5 years of electrical design experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. Proven experience in a drawing office environment, project management awareness, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical 2020 or similar are essential. Knowledge of low voltage motor speed control applications is advantageous.
