SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: Leeds

Salary: cGBP52k neg dep exp + benefits

Our client, part of a group with nearly 200 years of history and over 5,500 staff globally, specializes in bespoke heavier engineering and materials handling activities for diverse applications. Due to ongoing growth, they seek an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their Leeds office and support their electrical engineering team.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop designs and specifications for control systems across various products.
2. Coordinate site, application, and design engineering resources to meet project requirements.
3. Ensure effective interfacing between design, production, procurement, and installation teams to optimize costs and implementation.
4. Develop understanding of applicable industry standards.
5. Manage project technical content concerning cost, quality, contract documentation, and specifications within budget.
6. Attend customer sites and liaise with engineering representatives as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
2. At least 5 years of electrical design experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
3. Extensive design engineering experience in a drawing office setting.
4. Project management awareness and excellent communication skills.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical 2020 (or equivalent).
6. Knowledge of low voltage motor speed control applications is advantageous.
