Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineer for a contract role in Leicester. The position requires expertise in hazardous environments and experience in the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing systems and generating key documentation, working primarily on-site one day a week.

Job description

Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineer
Leicester – 1 day per week on site
45 per hour outside IR35
6–12 month initial contract

Are you a Senior Electrical Design Engineer who has experience in Instrumentation design? Do you have a background in the Oil & Gas industry? If so, please read on

Essential skillset:
– Electrical and Instrumentation Design within hazardous environments (ATEX, COMPEX, NORSOK)
– Understanding of PLC (Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley)
– Experience working within the Offshore Energy or Oil & Gas industry
– Experience with junction boxes, instruments, isolating equipment, electric motors and control panels
– Generate E&I documentation such as utilities/cable Schedules, I/O Schedules, Bill of materials, Hazardous Area Schedules, Test Procedures, Lighting Calcs etc
