Job summary

M Group Water Scotland is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to deliver MEICA electrical designs for water and wastewater schemes. You’ll produce compliant schematics, calculations, layouts and documentation, and collaborate with Project Managers through full lifecycles.

You’ll drive technical quality, complete RAMS and engineering reports, mentor teammates, and champion best practice. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Chartered status or working towards it are preferred, with

Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. This role will be within our Water Division, working on one of our current three frameworks with Scottish Water.

  • SR21 DV1 : Capital works water and wastewater framework, delivered by the Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA) Joint Venture. Primarily infrastructure and civil engineering project improving network resilient and protecting the environment.
  • SR21 DV2 : Predominantly MEICA based capital maintenance framework on existing water and wastewater assets. Upgrade, refurbishment and high value capital maintenance projects
  • SR27 DV4 : The integrated design and construction of civil and infrastructure projects within SW 12 years enterprise arrangement. Project and progharmeme opportunities across the full capital investment programme.

What will you be doing?

You’ll deliver expert electrical design for water and wastewater MEICA projects, producing compliant schematics, calculations, layouts, and documentation. You’ll partner with Project Managers throughout project life cycles, actively contribute to design reviews, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. You’ll drive technical quality, complete engineering reports and RAMS, and champion best practice, team development, and continual improvement.

What you’ll bring
  • Do you hold an Electrical Engineering Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent?
  • Do you have experience in clean or wastewater non-infrastructure design ? Water experience is essential
  • Are you Chartered, Incorporated, or working towards this status?
  • Are you confident leading teams and driving positive change?
  • Can you demonstrate the ability to mentor, advise, and engage with stakeholders?
