Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical & Controls Design Engineer to own electrical design activities for new and existing products. You will develop architectures, schematics, wiring diagrams and detailed control panels, while producing manufacturing docs and supporting builds and commissioning.

You will work with LV distribution, BS7671/EN 60204 standards, and Siemens PLC hardware, using EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience designing electrical and control systems for industrial machinery or process applications.
• Experience producing electrical schematics, control panels, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing documentation.
• Knowledge of LV electrical distribution, protection, cable sizing and component selection.
• Working knowledge of BS7671 and EN 60204.

• Owning electrical design activities across new and existing products.

• Producing panel layouts, cable schedules, terminal schedules, and component specs.
• Supporting panel builds, FAT testing and commissioning.

A Surrey-Based Green Tech/Renewable Energy business is on the hunt for a Senior Electrical &; Controls Design Engineer to join their vastly expanding team.

As the Senior Electrical &; Controls Design Engineer, you will be responsible for taking ownership of electrical design activities across new and existing products, including developing electrical architectures, single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and detailed control-panel designs. Additionally, you will be required to produce manufacturing documentation, including panel layouts, cable schedules, terminal schedules and component specifications, selecting electrical equipment, support panel builds, preparing design specifications, FAT testing and commissioning, and providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

What we would like from the Senior Electrical &; Controls Design Engineer:

• A degree or relevant qualification in electrical Engineering or a related discipline


• Hands-on experience designing electrical and control systems for industrial machinery, packaged equipment or process applications


• Experience personally producing electrical schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams and associated manufacturing documentation


• Knowledge of LV electrical distribution, protection, cable sizing and component selection


• Working knowledge of BS7671 and EN 60204


• Experience using electrical CAD software such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical


• Experience selecting and configuring PLC hardware, ideally Siemens


• Practical involvement in equipment builds, testing, commissioning or troubleshooting
