Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Electrical & Control Engineer to join the Water Utilities Division in the UK. You will work on water treatment, distribution, wastewater, and related projects across the full lifecycle, from feasibility to handover.

You will design electrical power distribution, control systems, and SCADA interfaces, while mentoring other engineers and ensuring compliance with standards. The role offers hybrid working with opportunities for technical leadership and career

Qualifications

• Qualified to HND level or higher in electrical, electronic or control engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status with IET or equivalent body.
• Experience in electrical and/or control engineering design/consultancy.
• Focus on health, safety and environmental issues.
• Experience in water and/or wastewater industry.
• Good understanding of pipeline hydraulics or water/wastewater treatment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical power distribution design (LV and HV).
• Design control systems and especificate networks/SCADA integration.
• Develop plant layouts and cabling/installation design.
• Select instrumentation and write system control strategies.
• Perform factory and site acceptance tests of equipment.
• Provide mentoring and technical direction on projects.
• Ensure designs meet current legislation/standards and integrate with other disciplines.
