Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting a Senior Electrical & Control Engineer to join its Water Utilities Division in the UK. The role covers electrical power distribution design, control system design, SCADA, and integration with other disciplines across water treatment, distribution, and wastewater projects.

The successful candidate will lead technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with current standards.

Qualifications

• HND level or higher in electrical, electronic or control engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status with a recognised Professional Institution.
• Experience in electrical & control engineering design/consultancy.
• Strong communication skills to interact with other disciplines and clients, and to develop and promote the team.
• Willingness to contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks.
• Understanding of the importance of prioritising health, safety, and environmental issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical support to colleagues across the Water Utilities Division.
• Develop and check electrical & control designs and provide technical direction to projects.
• Ensure designs meet current legislation and standards and are fit for purpose.
• Integrate electrical & control design with other disciplines.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and offer design direction for projects.
