Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join the Grid & Digital Solutions Department for the EGL1 Project, based at Torness, Scotland. You will lead all electrical construction activities on site and coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Commissioning and Project Management teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical construction within large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing site construction teams and subcontractors in complex EPC environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, execution methodologies, progress monitoring, and project delivery.
• Familiarity with QA/QC requirements, HSE regulations, and international construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading and overseeing all electrical construction activities on site, ensuring alignment with project specifications, construction schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Managing and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient execution and optimum resource utilization.
• Driving construction planning and execution strategies to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinating closely with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Commissioning, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and safety requirements.
• Supporting progress measurement, reporting, forecasting, and project controls activities.
