Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals in the UK seeks an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead all on-site electrical construction activities for major energy infrastructure projects at Torness, Scotland. You will ensure alignment with specifications, schedules, quality and HSE requirements while coordinating with engineering and procurement teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering and 10+ years of on-site EPC experience, strong leadership, and excellent English

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical construction within large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing site construction teams and subcontractors in complex EPC environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, execution methodologies, progress monitoring, and project delivery.
• Familiarity with QA/QC requirements, HSE regulations, and international construction standards.
• Excellent command of English.

Responsibilities

• Leading and overseeing all electrical construction activities on site, ensuring alignment with specifications, schedules, quality, and HSE requirements.
• Managing site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient execution and optimum resource utilization.
• Driving construction planning and execution strategies to deliver works on time and within budget.
• Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions.
• Coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Commissioning, and Project Management teams for seamless delivery.
• Ensuring all electrical installations comply with standards and QA/QC requirements.
• Acting as the primary focal point for all electrical construction matters with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promoting highest health, safety, environmental, and quality performance across site activities.
