Job summary

Arup’s Liverpool office seeks an Electrical Discipline Leader to guide the Electrical Building Services team, provide technical direction, and mentor junior and intermediate engineers through their professional development.

You will develop coordinated electrical solutions from concept through design, work with clients and stakeholders to meet briefs, oversee detailed design and drawings, and lead multidisciplinary projects while supporting business growth in the Liverpool and Merseyside market.

Qualifications

• Experience leading electrical building services design on major or technically complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong project and programme management skills, directing multidisciplinary teams and meeting deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and line manage the Electrical Building Services team in the Liverpool office, including workload planning and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Develop coordinated electrical engineering solutions from concept through design and implementation.
• Work with clients and stakeholders to establish requirements and deliver solutions that meet the brief.
• Maintain oversight of electrical engineering quality, including supervision of detailed design and drawing production against standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary projects, managing teams, deliverables, programme and budget.
• Support business development and growth in Liverpool and Merseyside.
