Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior or Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer to lead design delivery on UK projects, guiding technical direction and coordinating multidisciplinary teams from inception to completion. You will apply BIM and digital design tools to develop innovative electrical solutions while ensuring programmes are delivered on time and within budget.

You’ll report to the Project Director, engage with clients, and mentor junior engineers as part of Arup’s collaborative culture,

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (or close via IET/CIBSE) with strong electrical building services design experience.
• Experience delivering UK multi-disciplinary design projects in a consultancy.
• Proficient in BIM and digital design tools; Revit MEP highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Solid track record of delivering high-quality electrical designs in the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams from inception to completion.
• Coordinate holistic design solutions and manage design programmes.
• Chair internal and external meetings and liaise with clients.
• Utilise BIM for coordination and stay current with legislation.
• Work with Project Director to ensure commercial success.
