Job summary

Arup in Glasgow is seeking a motivated Principal Electrical Engineer with Chartered status to lead building services projects across sectors. You will own packages of work, steer teams, and ensure technical excellence from concept through delivery.

The role offers progression opportunities, exposure to local and international projects, and a supportive environment that values collaboration, mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with degree in electrical engineering.
• Strong track record in electrical & MEP building services engineering design on UK projects.
• Proficient in Trimble Amtech/ProDesign, Dialux and/or other electrical design software; familiar with BIM environments such as Revit and/or MicroStation.
• Robust knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry best practice to ensure practical designs.

• Lead teams to deliver packages of work.
• Communicate clearly and work well with others; maintain commercial awareness throughout project lifecycle.
• Progress junior colleagues and contribute to their development.
