Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking Electrical Building Services Design Engineers at Engineer, Senior and Principal levels in Sheffield. You will deliver high-quality electrical building services designs, participate in multidisciplinary teams and progress through career levels on complex, high-profile projects.

The role offers hybrid working, professional development and exposure to major infrastructure projects across the Built Environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering/Building Services or related discipline.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution (IET/CIBSE) or working towards it.
• Experience designing electrical building services systems and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality electrical building services designs in line with client requirements, industry standards and best practice.
• Prepare electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and technical documentation.
• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and security systems.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, structural and architectural disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Undertake site surveys, inspections and technical assessments.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Identify and manage engineering risks while ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Health & Safety and CDM requirements.
• Deliver projects to agreed quality, programme and budget objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation and engineering best practice.
