Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior EIA Consultant to support the Environmental Management and Assessment Team across multiple sectors in the UK. The role focuses on managing environmental inputs from feasibility through to planning and delivery, with responsibilities spanning bidding, project leadership, and client liaison.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental field with focus on EIA or equivalent qualification.
• Chartered Environmental Status or working towards it with a relevant body.
• Experience coordinating EIA processes within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of environmental and planning legislation relevant to UK projects.
• Post-qualified experience coordinating environmental assessments across varied projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental advice and support to project teams and clients.
• Coordinate and deliver environmental inputs across projects (EIA screening, scoping, ES).
• Manage project delivery, quality, cost, and health and safety performance.
• Build relationships with clients and assist in resourcing and strategy development.
• Lead business development activities including proposals and bid preparation.
• Promote innovative techniques in environmental assessment and sustainability.
