Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior EIA Consultant to join our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in the UK. You will work with a range of environmental specialists and design teams across sectors to manage environmental inputs from feasibility through planning to construction.

You will help shape projects for better habitats, cleaner air and lower carbon, develop environmental statements and manage bids, budgets and client relationships while mentoring junior colleagues

Qualifications

• A relevant environmental degree level qualification in EIA or similar.
• Chartered Environmental Status and IEMA membership (or working towards).
• Experience coordinating EIAs within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of environmental and planning legislation.
• Post-qualified experience in coordinating environmental assessments.
• Ability to manage commercial aspects, risk, forecasting and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental advice to clients and project managers.
• Coordinate environmental inputs across multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare EIA screening requests and scoping reports.
• Manage delivery of environmental inputs, including Environmental Statements.
• Oversee project performance on technical, quality and safety aspects.
• Develop proposals and contribute to strategic bid formation.
• Support development of innovative techniques and training.
