Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant to join our Environmental Consents team in the UK. You will navigate regulatory environments, deliver EIA for aviation projects, and lead bid opportunities across planning regimes while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

You will influence environmental strategy, oversee project delivery, and collaborate with clients to secure successful outcomes within budget and schedule. Hybrid working with UK offices is available.

Qualifications

• A relevant environmental degree level qualification in EIA or similar.
• Practitioner or Chartered Environmental Status and Full membership of IEMA, or similar qualification with a relevant professional body.
• Demonstrable experience of undertaking EIA for aviation schemes with limited supervision across UK planning regimes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate environmental inputs for aviation projects, including EIA and planning applications.
• Support for DCO examinations and planning inquiries and engagement with clients and stakeholders.
• Bid preparation and strategic bid activities, including proposals and fee adjustments when required.
• Promote innovative techniques (Digital EIA, Technical Excellence, Future Ready EIA) to shape project delivery.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to an inclusive, safe work environment.
