Job summary

Merck Life Science in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to drive a developing safety culture in a Cell Culture Media production facility. You will align with our High Impact Culture and support new product introductions by reviewing safety of materials and current systems of work.

You will define and implement EHS strategies, deliver training, monitor risk assessments, conduct audits, and investigate incidents.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree in Biological/Chemical science or engineering preferred.
• Experience in a similar EHS role.
• GMP/pharma environment experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive a developing safety culture in a Cell Culture Media production facility.
• Define and implement EHS strategies and risk assessments.
• Conduct audits and incident investigations.
• Support emergency drills and Be Safe and Be Healthy programs; manage contractor safety on site.
