Job summary
The Launch Group is seeking an experienced EHS Lead/Manager to join the project team for large data centre developments in Blyth, Northumberland. You will lead Environmental, Health & Safety activities on site, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture across the project.
The role requires 5+ years in EHS within construction/engineering, NEBOSH or IOSH, and strong leadership capabilities.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or similar discipline
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, standards and best practices
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience advantageous
Responsibilities
- Manage Environmental, Health & Safety activities across the project lifecycle
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and RAMS
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all levels
- Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments to mitigate hazards
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers and subcontractors
- Review and approve safety documentation and incident investigations
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and training programmes
- Maintain safety records and performance metrics
- Attend site meetings and project reviews
- Prepare EHS reports for senior management and stakeholders
