Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust in Kirklees is seeking a Senior Educational Mental Health Practitioner to join the Mental Health Support Team across schools and colleges. The role focuses on early intervention, assessment, and evidence-based interventions for CYP with mild to moderate mental health issues.

You will supervise and develop EMHPs, manage caseloads, work with schools and families, and support service development within CAMHS.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and young people in mental health in community or educational settings.
• Experience delivering evidence-based psychological therapies such as CBT.
• Experience providing clinical supervision and working with multi-agency teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of CYP with mental health needs and triage referrals.
• Provide case management and clinical supervision to trainee EMHPs.
• Collaborate with schools, parents, and other services to coordinate care.
• Develop and implement evidence-based interventions for MHST.
• Lead on service development and staff training where appropriate.
