Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join the Kirklees Mental Health Support Team (MHST) working with children and young people in educational settings.

You will assess, triage and plan interventions for CYP with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, provide supervision to EMHPs and lead case management within a busy, collaborative multi-agency environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering low intensity interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
• Ability to work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience managing a caseload of children/young people and families.
• Experience providing clinical supervision and training to others.

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined caseload of CYP with mental health difficulties.
• Provide case management and clinical supervision to trainee/EMHPs.
• Work flexibly across education providers and contribute to service development.
• Liaise with schools, parents and partner agencies safeguarding responsibilities.
