Job summary

You will produce high-quality ecological assessments and reports, ensuring compliance with UK legislation while fostering strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have solid knowledge of the UK planning system, experience with ecological mitigation, and strong project management skills. The position offers flexible working arrangements and involves travel throughout the region.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of the UK planning system and environmental legislation relevant to the role.
• Ability to design and complete a range of ecological surveys and interpret findings.
• Experience delivering ecological mitigation including protected species licensing.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple ecological projects and ensure timely deliverables.
• Deliver robust ecological assessments, surveys, and reports.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships and communicate with stakeholders.

Skills

Sound knowledge of UK planning system and environmental legislation

Competent in UK Habitat Classification

Design and complete ecological surveys

Experience with ecological mitigation

Full UK driving licence

Willingness to travel

Education

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Ecology

Full CIEEM membership
