Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Principal Ecologist to join our team in delivering high-impact ecological solutions across projects in England. The role involves managing ecological inputs across renewable energy, residential, and infrastructure schemes.

You will mentor junior ecologists, lead complex projects, and interact with a diverse set of stakeholders. This hybrid position requires flexibility, including occasional travel and overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of the UK planning system and environmental legislation.
• Competence in UK Habitat Classification and habitat condition assessments.
• Experience designing and delivering ecological mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 6-10 ecological projects at any time.
• Lead ecological inputs across renewable energy and infrastructure schemes.
• Author and peer review ecological reports.
