Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe invites an Associate Ecologist to lead delivery of complex ecological projects across London and the South East. You will act as Project Director or Technical Lead, guiding multidisciplinary teams, maintaining client relationships and driving strategic growth for a diverse portfolio including regeneration and infrastructure.

The role requires eight+ years in ecological consultancy, MCIEEM membership or eligibility, strong knowledge of UK wildlife law and biodiversity net gain,

Qualifications

• Degree or higher qualification in Ecology or Environmental Science.
• Full Member of CIEEM (MCIEEM) or eligible to obtain membership.
• Eight or more years of ecological consultancy experience.
• Extensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
• Experience leading ecology projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Expertise in Biodiversity Net Gain and natural capital assessments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of ecological projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Serve as Project Director or Technical Lead on key commissions.
• Develop and maintain client accounts and drive business development.
• Mentor ecologists and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, and environmental managers to navigate planning requirements.
