Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our growing Ecology Team. You will work across a varied portfolio, conduct surveys, design mitigation, obtain licences, and contribute ecological input to multidisciplinary projects with planning, engineering and design colleagues.

At the senior level you will mentor junior ecologists, enjoy autonomy with support from an experienced team, and benefit from training and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing PEAs, ECIAs and ecological chapters.
• Contributing to HRAs and working with UKHab and Defra Biodiversity Metric.
• Proven communication and leadership skills for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys and assessments across varied sectors.
• Design and implement mitigation and enhancement measures.
• Assist with licences and multidisciplinary input on projects.
• Mentor junior ecologists and lead project aspects as needed.
