Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our growing UK Ecology Team. You will work across diverse projects, conducting surveys, assessing habitats, and contributing to mitigation and licensing.

You will mentor junior ecologists and collaborate with planning, engineering and design colleagues, with travel across the UK and a full driving licence required. Applicants should hold a BSc in Ecology or related field and have solid consultancy experience and knowledge of wildlife

Qualifications

• Solid consultancy experience in ecological projects.
• Strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and policy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys and assessments across a varied portfolio of projects.
• Design and implement mitigation and enhancement measures.
• Apply for and obtain protected species licences.
• Mentor junior ecologists and support professional growth.
• Travel across the UK as required and work with multi-disciplinary teams.
