Jacobs UK Ecology Team is hiring ecologists to join a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation making an impact across the UK offices including Peterborough. You’ll contribute to terrestrial ecology assessments and shaping environmental policy, joining a team that values collaboration and sustainable project delivery.

Positions are available on permanent full-time and part-time, job share or flexible basis, with hybrid working and strong growth opportunities within the company’s global communities

Qualifications

• Background in terrestrial ecology with significant years of relevant industry experience.
• Full membership of a professional body (or ability to obtain full membership).
• Experience in running ecological inputs on medium-large scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Delivering challenging, diverse infrastructure projects (water, highway, rail, energy).
• Desk and site-based tasks.
• Using experience in ecological assessments and related disciplines.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams to ensure ecology requirements are recognised and acted upon.
• Designing ecological monitoring programmes and leading survey teams.
• Provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders.
• Support mentoring and engagement with global communities of practice.
