Job summary
Parexel is seeking a Principal Clinical Database Programmer - eCOA (eCOA Study Designer) for a fully home-based role across the United Kingdom. The candidate will translate protocols and requirements into electronic data collection workflows, configuring questionnaires, schedules and logic in approved eCOA platforms while ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related discipline
- Written and oral fluency in English
- Proven experience with eCOA, ePRO, eDiary
- Strong clinical research industry experience (CRO/Pharma)
- Hands-on experience configuring an eCOA platform such as Medidata Designer eCOA
- Experience with EDC systems, preferably Medidata Rave
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (ICH-GCP, 21 CFR Part 11)
- Experience with technical quality control, UAT and defect management
Responsibilities
- Design eCOA studies by interpreting protocols and assessment schedules to create electronic workflows widely used in trials
- Configure questionnaires, screens, field properties, code lists, rules and study settings in the eCOA platform
- Coordinate initial eCOA configuration with EDC and maintain alignment with CRF versions
- Implement protocol amendments and translations while preserving data integrity
- Perform quality control of configurations and prepare documentation for UAT and validation
- Support deployment readiness and post-production troubleshooting
