Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is hiring an Early Years Senior Improvement Consultant to lead developmental work across the county, based from Staffordshire Place One and working with settings, schools and partners to raise outcomes.

The role is fixed-term for 2 years, with a focus on strengthening early years practice and improving the Good Level of Development target by 2028. Interviews will be held on a specified date.

Qualifications

• Level 6 qualification in Early Years, Education, SEND or related field, plus QTS.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile as a statutory assessment tool.
• Ability to analyse EYFS data, identify priorities and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen curriculum design, assessment and teaching across EYFS, focusing on Reception.
• Support schools to improve progress of children at risk of not achieving a good level of development.
• Promote inclusive practice and ensure access to high-quality early education.
