Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking an experienced Early Years Team Manager for Quality Improvement. You will supervise a team of Early Years and Childcare Advisors, provide leadership, support, and training to ensure high quality play, care and education for children, in collaboration with health, safeguarding and education partners.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in a relevant field.
• Qualified Teacher Status with Early Years Specialism or Early Years Teacher status.
• Demonstrable recent experience of leading early years practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the team with high-quality advice, support and training.
• Collaborate with settings, schools and partners to improve outcomes for children.
• Develop and implement the quality improvement strategy.
• Lead on policy proposals, termly reviews and improvement plans.
• Keep up to date with local and national developments in early years.
• Manage project-based budgets up to £100,000.
• Deliver early years training and networking for providers.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of information.
• Write reports and strategic planning documents.
• Lead others through change.
