Job summary

Storal is hiring for Forest Barn Nursery in Brentwood to lead a room and deliver high‑quality care in a play‑based setting. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, and support learning across the room with a collaborative approach.

The role requires Level 3+ in early years, EYFS knowledge, and strong communication. A welcoming, nurturing environment is offered with career growth and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 or above qualification within early years.
• Proven experience working as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner).
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Day to day, you will deliver care to the children whilst also supervising your team.
• Identify areas for improvements in learning & teaching techniques or experiences.
• Ensure record keeping requirements are completed; conduct team appraisals.
• Work with other Room Leads and management to run the nursery successfully.

Job description

Nursery:

Forest Barn Nursery School, The Barn at Tooks Farm, Great Warley Street, Brentwood, CM13 3JP

Paid UBER rides from train station to the nursery's location

Hours:

Full Time and Part Time roles available, Monday - Friday

Salary:

Up to £14.68 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Welcome Bonus: £1000

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

Day to day, you will deliver care to the children whilst also supervising your team.

You’ll identify areas for improvements whether that relates to learning and teaching techniques or creating more stimulating experiences and environments. You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your room are met.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring all record keeping requirements are regularly completed, as well as conducting your team appraisals. As the Senior Early Years Educator (Nursery Room Leader) you will work in partnership with other Room Leads and the management team to ensure the successful running of the nursery.
