Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting a Senior Engineer in Berkshire on a contract basis. The role focuses on leading the reactive drainage programme and handling public enquiries related to flood risk and land drainage, with civil works oversight and contractor work orders as needed.

Flexibility is offered with working arrangements including home-based options and a negotiable hourly rate of £45-£50, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in flood risk and drainage essential.
• Ability to lead reactive drainage programmes and projects.
• Strong knowledge of SuDS concepts and drainage standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reactive drainage workload and programme of works.
• Oversee civil work packages and surveys to meet specifications.
• Provide technical assistance on drainage and flood risk matters.
• Respond to public inquiries regarding flood risk and land drainage.
