Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer to join its civil engineering consultancy. You will prepare Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and detailed drainage designs for residential and commercial developments, liaising with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

  • A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree, such as Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in flood risk assessments and drainage design.
  • Experience preparing reports for planning applications.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of guidance including NPPF, CIRIA SuDS Design Manual, Sewer Sector Guidance and Building Regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good numeracy and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Experience with fluvial and pluvial flood risk modelling, or S104 drainage design, would be advantageous.

The Role

As a Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and detailed drainage designs for a range of development projects.
