Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer with experience in Flood Risk and Drainage to join a client in Berkshire on contract basis. You will be responsible for leading on the reactive drainage programme of works as well as responding to enquiries from members of the public related to flood risk and land drainage, recommending appropriate repairs to the highways network following any damages and drafting work orders on agreed works with the contractor.

This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £45 - £50 per hour - negotiable for the right candidate and dependant on experience. Flexible working arrangements are available alongside working from home opportunities.

Working within the Highways team your main duties include:

• Leading on the reactive drainage workload and programme of works
• Overseeing civil work packages and surveys to ensure all projects delivered meet specification
• Providing technical assistance with drainage, flood risk and SuDS matters
• Responding to members of the public to matters relating to flood risk and land drainage

Previous experience in Flood Risk and Drainage is essential for this role.
